Connect an AI assistant

Use Afloat from ChatGPT or Claude. Paste the URL below into your assistant's connector settings — you'll sign in with your Afloat account, and the assistant can then browse posts, read your strategy, and draft new posts on your behalf.

Connect ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT → Settings → Connectors → Advanced and enable Developer mode.
  2. In a chat, open the + menu in the composer and turn on Developer mode.
  3. Click Add sources, then Connect more.
  4. Give the connector a name (e.g. Afloat) and paste the URL above.
  5. Sign in with your Afloat account when prompted, then ask ChatGPT to use Afloat (e.g. "list my recent posts").

Connect Claude

  1. Open Claude → Connectors → Add custom connector.
  2. Give the connector a name (e.g. Afloat) and paste the URL above.
  3. Enable the connector from the composer in a chat, then ask Claude to use Afloat.

Refresh after Afloat updates

Connected assistants cache the tool list. After we ship new Afloat features, refresh the connector to see them.

ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT settings and select Afloat under Enabled apps.
  2. Next to Information, click Refresh.
  3. If the URL changed, paste the latest URL from above.
  4. Start a new chat and ask ChatGPT to use Afloat.

Claude

  1. Open the Connectors page and select Afloat.
  2. Refresh or update the connector's tools.
  3. If the URL changed, paste the latest URL from above.
  4. Ask Claude to use Afloat.

What Afloat can do here

Once connected, your assistant can browse and read your blog posts, read your saved marketing strategy, and create new post drafts as the signed-in Afloat user — the same access you have in the app.
